No Weapons Policy
At Sharp Matters, we do not sharpen weapons — but we do offer restoration and non-sharpening services for collectors, professionals, and historical items.
What We Won’t Sharpen:
We do not provide razor-edge sharpening for any item designed explicitly for combat, including:
- Swords
- Daggers
- Combat knives
- Bayonets
- Military or tactical blades
We take this position seriously out of respect for UK laws, safety concerns, and the values of our business.
What We Can Do:
We are, however, happy to provide services for:
- Collector’s items (e.g., ceremonial swords, antique blades, display pieces)
- Restoration of rusted, damaged, or incomplete blades (without sharpening)
- Handle repairs and refinishing
- Cleaning and presentation preparation
- Service for eligible professionals (e.g., military, police) who are lawfully in possession of functional blades as part of their occupation
These services are strictly non-sharpening unless there is a clear, lawful, and legitimate professional need.
Case-by-Case Review
